How to get adapter address



To Obtain the Adapter Address:
Windows 95, 98, ME:
Click on Start
  Select Run
  Then type winipcfg

Windows NT, 2000, XP:
 Click on Start
  Select Run
  Then type cmd
  After the command window opens type ipconfig /all

Windows 7:
 Open Control Panel
  Change "View by:" to Small icons
  Select Network and Sharing Center
  From that screen click on the local area connection on the right hand side of the screen.
  Click on Details...
  It is listed as the physical address field

Linux
  Open a terminal
  as root or sudo, type ifconfig

Note: Choose the physical address of the adapter you want listed
Example: 00-11-22-33-44-55

Do not enter any dashes on the form, just the numbers
